What do we do?

ISB Global is a software development and consulting house, offering the world’s most advanced Environmental, Waste Management, and Recycling software.

ISB has three key pillars in its business, OutSystems, SAP, and AWS (Amazon Webservices). We are partners, and resellers and offer services in each.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor performance of database systems resources and query throughput.

  • Monitor performance and manage parameters to provide fast responses to front-end users.

  • Work with application Developers in assisting in optimizing SQL Query Code, as necessary.

  • Monitor and maintain database storage resources.

  • Monitor and maintain database maintenance plans for backups, index rebuild/defragment, and database statistics.

  • Install database software service packs and cumulative updates, as necessary.

  • Trouble shoot and resolve database connectivity issues.

  • Proven, demonstrable knowledge and experience with managing Oracle database in Windows and Linux environments.

  • Work in agile teams and familiar with accompanying tools such as JIRA

 

Role Requirements:

  • This role will require some coverage of US working hours

  • Role also requires SQL Server support coverage - so willing to learn, if not currently experienced in this technology.

  • Willing to invest time in acquiring knowledge in no-SQL technologies : REDIS and SOLR to support these data repositories.

 

Basic Qualifications

  • 2 years of experience in Oracle 19C

  • Oracle Accredited Certification

  • SQL SERVER database administration (Optional).

  • 1 years of experience migrating data.

  • Knowledge of AWS RDS.

  • Knowledge of Replication technologies such as AWS DMS or Oracle Goldengate and SQL Server log shipping.

  • Experience in AWS CloudWatch for server monitoring and server problem analysis.

  • Open to learn alternative Database technologies for support and maintenance. Specifically NoSQL Databases SOLR and REDIS.

 

Nice to Have:

  • Experience of using Jira

  • Experience of using Confluence

  • Knowledge of the Waste Industry

  • Experience in Cloud hosted database servers
